Emails from John M & Mike K:
Hello Friends,
Mary P, daughter of Brother Ray P and a parishioner of St. Bridget, is hosting a screening on the opening weekend of Triumph of the Heart, a wonderful story about Saint Maximillian Kolbe and his amazing sacrifice and demonstration of our faith during WWII.
From Mary:
Please consider joining in at the screening and filling the theater on September 14th at 4:00 pm. Ticket reservations & donations are the only way to guarantee the theater booking and there are only 4 days left for those who are interested. The movie is entirely Catholic-made, and tells the story of Saint Maximillian Kolbe’s witness to Christ at the Auschwitz concentration camp. I got to watch the rough-cut several months ago and it’s not only a really powerful story, but a beautiful piece of Catholic art.
If you’re interested in attending/supporting the screening’s funding, here is the link (with the movie trailer to watch as well). I hope you and your family/friends can attend! St. Maxamillian Kolbe’s story is a particularly moving one for men of faith! I would love to make this happen and word of mouth is our only means! We are 2/3 of the way to our goal!
The trailer below is well done, and at 1:50 in the trailer the writer and director of the film, Anthony D’Ambrosio, comments on the wholly Catholic nature of the film.
The link to purchase tickets is included below, too. The theater is filling up quickly!
Please forward to your groups for consideration. Thank you, all!
